The calendar says LOVE Week is over.  But the serving goes on.  We’re excited to offer new opportunities for you to serve each day as we serve our outreach partners all over the Charlotte area and beyond.  Click above to go sign up for today’s LOVE Week aftermath event.  It’s a beautiful opportunity to share with our partners the gifts you so generously gave during LOVE Week.

We’ve already delivered TENS of thousands of sandwiches, snack bags, gift baskets, clothing items, shoes, and more.  But we’d love your help as we continue to bless our partners.  You can see we’ve got ongoing events as well, as we serve breakfast this Friday and Saturday mornings at Crisis Assistance Ministry and Charlotte Rescue Mission.

What else can you do?  The food pantries are empty at Jackson Park Ministries and Hope Cancer Ministry.  The need is so great as families in our community continue to struggle to make ends meet.  You won’t believe what a blessing you’ll be to these two ministries if you take just one bag of non-perishable items to them to share with those they serve.

We can’t do everything – but we must do something.  Not just during LOVE Week, but all year long.  Thank you for serving with Elevation Outreach!  Dive in – and be sure to LOG your HOURS using our new LOG HOURS tool.

We gave away a HOUSE this past weekend in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.

A house you built in EIGHT days. Incredible. And we spent some great time at an outreach conference in Baton Rouge, Louisiana – learning, growing, and seeing what other great churches and ministries are doing here and around the world.

We are working together TONIGHT to celebrate what God did during LOVE Week and we are looking ahead to what he will do through us in the coming weeks.

We’ll be looking at ongoing service opportunities for you to be involved with, and we are planning another big outreach push in April as we work to complete our 100,000 hours commitment to Mayor Foxx and the City of Charlotte.

It’s time to give away a HOUSE!

You worked tirelessly serving more than 50k hours during LOVE Week and now it’s time to CELEBRATE!

Your service and generosity helped build a house for Chung Rocham, his wife and three little girls.  THIS SATURDAY, we will dedicate the home, invite the neighbors, and celebrate with food and fellowship.  Click here to sign up and get further details on time and location.

In the meantime, it’s been a wild week at Elevation Outreach. Our team has been crazy-busy sorting, organizing and delivering all your amazing LOVE Week donations. Tens of thousands of sandwiches, snack bags and basic necessities packs, gift baskets, clothing items, household items, shoes and so much more.

Your generosity is inspiring, and our outreach partners keep telling us how much YOUR donations mean to them and their clients. Thank you for making LOVE Week such a huge blessing to so many THOUSANDS of people across our city.

Still on a high after #LOVEWeek2012 we are in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the Greater Things Compassion Conference.
It’s an amazing opportunity to meet others dedicated to compassion and outreach in their communities.
This morning, we are headed to Dream Center Baton Rouge to serve breakfast.

With details from some events still coming in, we are pleased to announce our #LOVEWeek2012 total:

LOVE Week volunteers served all over the Charlotte region – serving 62 outreach organizations in partnership with 31 churches to surpass our goal and reach 50,340 hours. Calculating service hours to dollars saved – YOU saved local non-profits $1,006,800!

Because of your generosity, we also gave away $273,000 in cash to Elevation Church local outreach partners – on our way to $750,000 in one year to fulfill our commitment to Mayor Anthony Foxx in the Orange Initiative.

Huge amounts of gratitude go out this morning to each and every volunteer.

We believe several of our leaders, hosts and project managers served more than 90 hours in the days leading up to LOVE Week and during this past week’s events.

Pastor Steven Furtick gave us this verse to share with you:

1 Thessalonians 1:3 says:

“We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”

We couldn’t be any more humbled by and grateful for your service. We started with 352 events scheduled, and added dozens more during the week as demand grew – in the end serving at more than 400 opportunities.

The best is yet to come, as we head out today with your gifts in hand. We will be blitzing the Charlotte – Matthews – Monroe – University – Rock Hill area taking tens of thousands of sandwiches, gift baskets, house wares, clothing items, furniture, and more to all our outreach partners and beyond.

We are just getting started. With about 18,000 hours of service still to go on our Orange Initiative commitment, we encourage you to stay connected with the outreach partner you loved serving with the most during LOVE Week. Please keep track of your hours, and report them using our new LOG HOURS tool.

We’ll be announcing new initiatives in the coming days to help you get involved.
