LOVE Weekends

We are so grateful for your participation with our outreach partners and in big initiatives like LOVE Week 2013. More than 11,000 volunteers served close to 60,000 hours in nine days and it was amazing.

God’s love in us inspired home building, room painting, meal serving, park cleaning, backpack assembling and so much more.

The love of Christ in us compels us to keep moving. So this fall we will demonstrate God’s great love for our cities in a new way. We are excited to announce the launch of LOVE Weekends.

Join us in 2014 for our fifth-annual LOVE Week, an initiative to make the name of Jesus famous through love and service. Spend the entire week serving our cities July 26-August 3, 2014.

Once a year, we focus our service in a blitz of LOVE recognized by the Mayor of the city of Charlotte as one of the most inspiring events in our region. LOVE Week 2013 engaged more than 11,000 volunteers in 58,720 hours of service and invested $400,000 into the work of our strategic outreach partners.

In 2012, we set a Charlotte, North Carolina record – making history by engaging volunteers to serve more than 2,500 hours in a single day.

Because of your contagious passion and love to serve, LOVE Week 2014 is going to the biggest yet. Book your summer vacation, now for LOVE Week July 26-August 3, 2014.

Orange Initiative

Elevation formed an historic partnership with Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx to engage in the fight to end homelessness, invest in schools, teachers, and students, and improve the quality of life for all people in our city. We called it the Orange Initiative.

We set an impossible goal in April 2011: To serve 100,000 hours and give $750,000 to local organizations.

We forged new partnerships, launched new strategies, and watched God move to engage an unprecedented number of volunteers. By April 2012 we served 102,208 hours and gave $1,038,000 to local non-profits. The volunteer hours served translated into a $2,040,000 savings to our community.
