^Blakeney READS is an Elevation Outreach initiative to help Quail Hollow Middle School students succeed. More than 400 students at the Title One school in South Charlotte are behind in reading comprehension. Without support, these students are more likely to fail in other subjects like math, history, and science.

Together, we can help. Get paired up with a student serve just one hour per week for 14-weeks.

You’ll read aloud together (the student does most of the reading) and you’ll ask questions about the text, helping the student to understand the words they read and how the story is taking shape.

Evidence proves the time we spend will pay off in higher grades and improved confidence. Our time will help students realize their strengths, put their struggles in context, and bring the momentum they need to win in all areas of life.

^Blakeney READS begins the week of February 6 and runs through the week of June 5.
