What an incredible Saturday at Camino Community Center!

Volunteers from Elevation University and other churches in the area worked together to serve 900 people through a big back to school fair.  A huge thank you to Pastor Rusty Price and his team at Camino del Rey church for having the vision to serve latino neighbors in the North Tryon area.

Elevation, you supplied backpacks to 540 children and in partnership with Bless Back Worldwide provided physicals to 83 students.

Big thanks to Elevation University campus pastor Larry Brey, producer Lanaire Lindo, children’s director Barbara Urch, new Elevation Gaston pastor Ken Hester, and Elevation Outreach intern Jordan Hattaway – you guys knocked it out of the park.

At 9am, the line for the fair was 250+ people long, and we wondered if we’d have enough book bags for all the children.  In his message this weekend, Pastor Steven reminded us the importance of “staying obedient to him, and leaving the outcome to him.”  Those words resounded for me last night as we got word that God made sure we had not only enough book bags, but even more for other children who need them.

If you’d like to help a child in need this fall, A Child’s Place needs school supplies for homeless children.  And Elevation Rock Hill is gathering/organizing donations for 2,500 children in need this coming weekend.

And to catch the repeat of this weekend’s Room 101 Week 3 sermon, “Fear’s Greatest Hit,” head on over to the Elevation Network.
